Adding Brushes to Photoshop CS2
Step one is finding brushes that are worth installing. Jason Gaylor of Design Fruit is a perfect place to pick up your first brushes; he has four free brush set that are must-haves:
Next, download and unzip your brushes. Installation is as easy as telling Photoshop where to find the brush files. It is common to place your brush files in to default Photoshop brushes folder* before installation, but that is completely optional. To load the brushes into Photoshop go to the Edit menu and select Preset Manager. This will bring up a dialog box were you need to select the Preset Type of Brushes, if it is not already selected. Lastly, click the Load button and select your brush file.
Repeat for each brush set that you would like to add, and then start using the brushes.
*Default folder is: Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Brushes
