301 Redirect

For the most part, it is fairly easy to redirect users and/or notify them that a page is been moved. The tough one is letting search engines know. There is a special “error page” called a 301 that is design to let Google, Yahoo! and MSN know that a page or website has been moved permanently. The purpose of this blog is to share the million little tips and tricks that I have discovered over the past 15 years as a graphic designer; this site will also be my digital playground were I learn as I share. The term beta seems to be popular these days and may be a good description for what this site is; however, I think it is more fitting to call this site intentionally-unrefined.
